Fuchsia Lane Founder & Creative Director Vivienne Ong-Lin Receives the Spirit of Enterprise Award 2025

Featured 31 Oct 2025
Fuchsia Lane is proud to share that our Founder & Creative Director Vivienne Ong-Lin has been awarded the Spirit of Enterprise Award 2025, a national recognition honouring entrepreneurial courage, resilience, leadership, and meaningful contributions to Singapore’s cultural landscape.
This prestigious award acknowledges Vivienne’s outstanding efforts in pioneering the Nanyang Fashion Movement — a design philosophy and cultural movement that reimagines Southeast Asian heritage for the modern world. In an industry as intensively competitive as fashion, this recognition reinforces the importance of staying true to purpose, craft, and cultural authenticity.
While Fuchsia Lane is known for its beautifully crafted, modern and timeless Qipaos, this award affirms that Nanyang Fashion goes far beyond a single garment. It is a living culture, a design language, and a new way of weaving heritage into contemporary fashion expression.
The award also recognises Vivienne’s broader contributions to society — from nurturing the next generation of designers and artisans, to mobilising mask production and community support during challenging times, and leading social initiatives such as Be Fearless, which brought culture, creativity, and community closer together during COVID-19.
Over the years, Fuchsia Lane has been honoured at the national level over twice before:
* by the late President S.R. Nathan under the President’s Challenge (2010)
* and by President Halimah Yacob for exceptional efforts that made a meaningful impact in Singapore’s fight against COVID-19.
We are also grateful to receive this award from Minister of State Alvin Tan, and for the heartfelt nomination by 永花姐 Goh Djong Hoa — a long-time client, supporter, and former Vice President of Chinese Entertainment Production at Mediacorp TV.
This milestone belongs to all who have believed in the Nanyang story — our artisans, collaborators, clients, and supporters who continue to journey with us as we redefine modern heritage for Singapore and the region.
