Pandas, long seen as cultural emissaries, arrive in the Nanyang — at ease, at home, and enjoying bubble tea with summer hats.
Created in celebration of SG60, the panda motif was conceived and drawn in-house as our own Singapore interpretation: contemporary, light-hearted, and grounded in everyday life. Rendered through batik, this piece marks Fuchsia Lane’s first exploration into developing original batik artwork, bringing a Southeast Asian craft into dialogue with a modern Nanyang design language.
Cut as a gender-neutral smart open jacket, it is designed for comfort and movement in the tropics. The relaxed silhouette, clean structure, and practical side pockets make it ideal for travel, work, and cultural engagements — a garment meant to be worn, lived in, and carried forward.
