Shaped by a sculptural front arch, this design draws from the defining features of Nanyang architecture, often seen in five-foot ways and Baroque-influenced windows — architectural thresholds that frame light, movement, and daily life in the tropics.
 
Crafted in breathable white cotton tweed, pink lace trims and the phoenix — depicted as if soaring through clouds — reflect the ornate eclecticism of the style, echoing chien nien and stuccowork where Chinese decorative elements meet colonial form. Long cherished in Peranakan culture, the phoenix symbolises renewal, virtue, and auspicious beginnings, rising with grace and promise.
