Arch of Prosperity features a front panel shaped like an arch, that draws from the defining arch feature of Nanyang Architecture, often found in five-foot ways or Baroque style windows. Lace trims and goldfish embroidery recalls the ornate eclecticism of the style, echoing chien nien and stuccowork motifs where Chinese decorative elements meet colonial form. The pair of goldfishes having fun symbolise prosperity and luck for the wearer much like how the stuccoworks are believed to bless the inhabitants.
