What is Nanyang Fashion & Why It Matters
Design & Cultural Dialogue
What Is Nanyang Fashion — And Why It Matters Today As Southeast Asia comes into clearer global focus, the question of how we articulate a Nanyang fashion language becomes pressing. As Fuchsia Lane approaches its 20th year in 2026, this dialogue reflects on the long-term design practice through which a Nanyang fashion language has been shaped and articulated. This Design & Culture Dialogue is a listening-focused session led by Fuchsia Lane founder Vivienne Ong-Lin. It traces how this design vocabulary has taken form through sustained practice — including the thinking behind the SG60 collection — and how it continues to evolve through ongoing work, as we lay the cultural foundations for the Nanyang Fashion Gallery. This is not a panel or presentation, but an intimate evening of reflection for those interested in culture, design, and contemporary expressions of regional identity. 8 Jan Thursday : 730-845 ppm $38 | Limited seats
