Fuchsia Lane was established in 2007 by founder and designer Vivienne Lin. Fuchsia Lane started creating a niche in re-engineered tees by incorporating couture tailoring and fine laces, chiffons and silks into tees, which caught on the media´s attention.
Vivienne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Industrial Design) from National University of Singapore. She studied 7 months in Milan, Italy at one of the oldest universities Politecnico di Milano where she was trained in fashion and retail.
Fuchsia Lane has been featured almost 40 times on major and regional newspapers, magazines and television. The Star Malaysia has featured Vivienne twice on the cover of their fashion paper. Her cosy fashion suite in red dot building has been the secret shopping hideout for the rich and famous. Her clients hail from Sweden to Sabah, Malaysia who don her creations from the board room to red carpet events. Tailoring dresses to the perfect fit for her clients is her greatest reward.
Vivienne has also been invited to participate in several prestigious design platforms. The Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts, granted her a Creative Talent Fund to embark on her ambitious solo fashion and art showcase. She collaborated with 3 promising local artists, Justin Lee (Montblanc Young Artist Award Winner), Susan Ong and Adeline Yeo to create 8 luxurious artistic gowns showcasing Asia´s rich wedding cultures. Titled "Eternity by Fuchsia Lane-Celebrating Art in Fashion and Weddings", this showcase is presented by On Cheong Jewellery and held at the prestigious ION Orchard Art Gallery from 28 Jan -16 Feb 2010.
Vivienne is also handpicked as one of the designers in the most talked about fashion design incubator at PARCO Millenia where her mentor is fashion veteran Thomas Wee. Put together by Spring Singapore, Textile and Fashion Federation and Japanese retail giant PARCO.
In 2008, Vivienne had her first fashion solo showcase "Fuchsia Lane´s In Love With Passion" with the generous support of Presenter On Cheong Jewellery again and The Shop by The Arts House as well as a slew of other sponsors.
Fuchsia Lane offers ready to wear, bespoke tailoring services, wedding dresses, customised gifts and uniforms for a discerning clientele.
